Nationals Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland will be visiting Violet Town, Strathbogie, and Euroa on Thursday, stopping to help locals submit their $250 Power Saving Bonus.
Ms Cleeland will be in the area on Thursday, August 24 – starting in Violet Town at 9:30am before moving to Strathbogie at 11:30am, and Euroa at 2pm.
Since the current round opened in late March, Ms Cleeland’s office has helped over 300 people apply, helping people get upwards of $75,000 back in their pockets.
The fourth round of the Power Saving Bonus is almost over, with applications set to close on August 31.
With an ongoing cost of living crisis, Ms Cleeland said that hosting these events ensured members of the community could get all the support they need.
“The $250 Power Saving Bonus is something that can provide some relief to those doing it tough,” Ms Cleeland said.
“With utility bills through the roof, rental costs increasing, and the price of groceries on the rise, any bit of help can make a difference.
“We understand that not everyone has access to computers, or may find the application process difficult, so we are trying our best to get across the community to help out.
“Even if you’ve already applied, I encourage you to get down to whatever option is closest for you and join us for a cuppa and a chat.”
Ms Cleeland’s office has already travelled to Euroa once to assist community members apply for the power saving bonus, as well as helping in Redesdale, Rushworth, and Colbinabbin earlier this month.
The current round has been open since late March. If you would like assistance applying for the Power Saving Bonus but are unable to attend, feel free to visit Ms Cleeland’s Office at 25 Bridge Street East, Benalla.
A full copy of a recent power bill is required to apply.
