The Nationals’ Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, is encouraging interested groups to apply for a new set of grants that are aimed at bringing more creative events to regional Victoria.
The Small Regional Presenters program is now accepting applications, with grants of up to $15,000 available to help volunteers and local councils secure and present shows in 2025.
“Our region has really started to establish itself as a thriving cultural centre for regional Victoria, and these grants can help bring even more events to our towns,” Ms Cleeland said.
“Whether it be towns like Benalla that have a street art festival, top-shelf art gallery, brand-new cinema, and short film festival, or towns like Euroa and Nagambie that are consistently participating in youth music programs and festivals, our region is full of exciting cultural events.
“Not only would hosting more local events be a brilliant opportunity to bring visitors to our region, but it can also support local jobs and boost the local economy.
“It’s an exciting time to be in our towns as they continue to stand out as some of the most vibrant arts destinations in regional Victoria.”
Applications are now open and close Wednesday, 23 October 2024.
