Euroa Electorate

Rivers, ranges and 55,000 regional Victorians.

About the electorate

The land of the Euroa electorate spans more than 11,500 square kilometres of rivers and ranges that a community of 55,000 regional Victorians call home.

Euroa is a place of ancient and modern significance, from Aboriginal rock art, scar trees and cutting stones to colonial and goldmining histories of the towns of Kilmore, Murchison and Rushworth and from the military training camp of Puckapunyal to the creative art haven of Benalla. It is home to agriculture, family-run enterprises and global industry innovators, from croppers in Colbinabbin to fruit and dairy farmers in the Goulburn Valley to livestock and thoroughbred breeders throughout the entire electorate.

How to arrange one

Complete a request form through my electorate office. You will need supporting documentation, such as original birth or marriage certificates. If those are not available, a statutory declaration will do. Statutory declaration forms are available from any post office or police station.

When to ask

Requests can be lodged up to three months before the celebration. A belated message can be requested up to one month after the birthday or anniversary has passed.

Where it is sent

Messages can be posted to the recipient directly, or to a care-of address such as a friend or relative if you are planning a surprise.

Please contact my office to start a congratulatory message request.

Enrolling to vote

Voting is compulsory in Australia at state, federal and local council elections, and enrolling is how you have a say in who represents you at each level of government.

It is just as important to keep your enrolment up to date, so that you are registered at the address you actually live at. Enrolment information is available from the Victorian Electoral Commission.

Request a flag

As your local Member of Parliament I can provide Victorian flags to schools, youth groups, churches and other community organisations across the electorate. I would welcome the chance to visit your group and present one in person.

Groups that are eligible

  • Schools
  • Scout and Girl Guide groups
  • Ex-service and senior citizens organisations
  • Service clubs such as Lions, Rotary and the RSL
  • Voluntary youth, sporting and philanthropic organisations
  • Hospitals and churches

Under the State Government's guidelines, Members of Parliament cannot provide flags to individuals, to overseas or interstate bodies, or to government bodies.

If your organisation would like a flag, get in touch with the electorate office and we will arrange a time.

Awards and honours

The Euroa electorate has no shortage of people who have given decades of service to their communities, often without ever being asked. Members of the public and community groups can nominate local individuals for awards and honours in the Order of Australia and the Australian Bravery Decorations.

The links below cover the Order of Australia and Australian Defence Force decorations. If you need help with a nomination, or have a question about any other medal or award, my office is happy to assist.
