The Nationals’ Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, is encouraging eligible locals to apply for the $100 Power Saving Bonus when it opens on August 25th.
The one-off $100 payment is available to Victorian households holding an eligible concession card and aims to provide direct support with energy costs.
Applications can be made through the Victorian Energy Compare website.
“Labor’s mismanagement of Victoria’s energy system has left our regional communities exposed to higher costs and ongoing power insecurity,” Ms Cleeland said.
“The rising cost of electricity bills are disproportionately impacting regional Victoria, and our towns are crying out for some relief.
“While much more is needed than this $100, I encourage people in our communities to take advantage of this payment as soon as it’s made available.”
Ms Cleeland said her office is ready to assist anyone having difficulty with the application process, continuing the support her team has provided during previous rounds of the bonus.
“All you need to do is bring in a recent electricity bill and your concession card, and we will guide you through the process,” Ms Cleeland said.
“I want to make sure every eligible household can access this bonus and get all the help they need.”
Applications open August 25.
