BlazeAid Volunteers Needed to Support Longwood Recovery Efforts

Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland has welcomed the establishment of a BlazeAid base camp in Longwood, as recovery efforts move into the next phase following the bushfires.

Ms Cleeland said BlazeAid volunteers would play a critical role in helping landholders restore fencing damaged or destroyed during the fires.

“BlazeAid is now setting up a base camp in Longwood to support the rebuilding of fencing across fire-affected properties,” Ms Cleeland said. “This work is essential for farmers as they begin the long process of recovery.”

Ms Cleeland encouraged volunteers who are able to help to get involved.

“BlazeAid relies on volunteers, and this is an opportunity for people to make a real, practical difference on the ground,” she said.

Volunteers can register their interest or find out more by contacting Debra Ong on 0466 310 959.
