Celebrating local business in Rushworth

The Nationals’ Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, has praised the passion and innovation of local producers following a visit to Lisadurne Hill, a thriving olive and skincare enterprise nestled in Rushworth.

Ms Cleeland has continued to advocate for the region’s producers, celebrating the quality and character of products grown right here in the Euroa electorate.

“Supporting our local producers is something I will always champion,” Ms Cleeland said.

“There’s something truly extraordinary about seeing products grown in our own soil, tended with care, and then recognised on national and international stages.”

During her recent visit, Ms Cleeland toured Lisadurne Hill, the home and farm of Russ and Tina Knight. The couple manage 27,000 olive trees and produce some of Australia’s most highly awarded extra virgin olive oil – a testament to their dedication and relentless work ethic.

“Forget the idea of an active retirement – Russ and Tina are the definition of hardworking and passionate,” Ms Cleeland said.

“They pour their hearts into this land every single day.”

The couple’s passion doesn’t stop at olive oil. Tina has created a rose garden from which she distils oils for a luxurious skincare range.

She’s now expanding into lavender – all grown, harvested, and processed locally.

“Tina’s skincare products, which I’ve used religiously since the day I met her, are a perfect example of the innovation and excellence happening right here in our backyard,” Ms Cleeland said.

“These products are not only beautiful, but they’re also proudly local and it’s no wonder they’re being recognised nationally as among the best in the business.”

Ms Cleeland said the visit was another reminder of the resilience, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit alive in regional Victoria.

“Russ and Tina are proof that with hard work and a love for the land, regional businesses can thrive and lead the way,” she said.
