Nationals Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland will be visiting Redesdale on Monday, August 7 to host a “Cleeland Cuppa” thanks to the support of the Redesdale and District Association.
From 10:30am, Ms Cleeland will be at the Redesdale Community Hall to join locals for a cup of tea and a catch-up, while also helping residents apply for their $250 Power Saving Bonus.
The visit to Redesdale follows Ms Cleeland’s visits to nearby towns across the region, including Euroa, Murchison, and Nagambie – meeting local residents in an informal setting to discuss what matters to the community.
With an ongoing cost of living crisis, Ms Cleeland said that hosting these events ensured members of the community could get all the support they need.
“The $250 Power Saving Bonus is something that can provide some relief to those doing it tough,” Ms Cleeland said.
“With utility bills through the roof, rental costs increasing, and the price of groceries on the rise, any bit of help can make a difference.
“We understand that not everyone has access to computers, or may find the application process difficult, so we are trying our best to get across the community to help out.
“Even if you’ve already applied, I encourage you to get down to the Community Hall and join us for a cuppa and a chat.”
For those interested in applying for the $250 Power Saving Bonus, please bring a full copy of your electricity bill so that Ms Cleeland and her team can ensure your application is processed properly.
If you can’t make it on the day, Ms Cleeland’s Benalla office is still more than happy to help with applications, or any further concerns that you might have.
Applications for the Power Saving Bonus close on August 31.
