Nationals Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland has toured some of the Euroa region’s primary schools, meeting emerging young leaders in Avenel and Kilmore during the week.
Ms Cleeland visited both St Patrick’s Primary School in Kilmore and Avenel Primary School to discuss leadership and be part of a badge ceremony for the new leaders.
“It was fantastic to drop into St Patrick’s Kilmore and Avenel Primary School during the week to wish their new cohort of leaders the very best of luck,” Ms Cleeland said.
“Students at both schools gave me some fabulous advice about what being a leader means to them, which I will certainly be passing on to MPs during the next Parliament sitting.
“Some of the values shared with me included kindness, humility, responsibility, compassion, not being arrogant, and not being annoying.
“If everyone in leadership positions reflected these qualities, the world would be a better place.
“It’s fair to say these schools, and the wider Avenel and Kilmore communities, are in incredibly good hands with these new teams of student leaders.”
