Nationals Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland was in attendance as the Australian National Show and Shine returned to the banks of the Seven Creeks this past weekend.
Ms Cleeland attended the event on Sunday, having been invited to open the proceedings with a speech before helping the Rotary Club of Euroa prepare a barbecue for visitors in the morning.
There was plenty of praise for the annual car and bike show, with Ms Cleeland declaring the event a tremendous success.
“The Show and Shine in Euroa is an exceptional showcase of what our region has to offer,” Ms Cleeland said.
“The vehicles on display were truly incredible, as they always are, and it was fantastic to see so many local vendors operating too.
“It’s a day that isn’t possible without dedicated and tireless work from volunteers, including the organisers of the event, and I want to personally thank all of those who contributed to making it such a successful day.”
The Australian National Show and Shine is more than just a typical car and bike show, with the annual event showcasing unique vehicles from all eras, as well as having local market stalls, live music, children’s entertainment, and much more.
Ms Cleeland said she was honoured to be a small part of an event with such a storied tradition in the region.
“Each year the streets of Euroa and the Seven Creeks Park are filled with people, both local and visitors from all over the country,” Ms Cleeland said.
“This is an event that gets to showcase our beautiful region to visitors, and provides a significant boost to the local economy.
“It was a privilege to be invited to participate and open such a wonderful event and I’m already looking forward to next year.”
