Since the latest $250 Power Saving Bonus (PSB) opened on March 24, the office of the Nationals Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, has been assisting locals to successfully complete their PSB application.
On Thursday, the Benalla office processed their 100th PSB application, with hopes to assist many more residents in the coming weeks.
Ms Cleeland is encouraging all locals to apply for the bonus.
“Applying for the Power Saving Bonus can go a long way to relieving some financial stress and ensuring the bills can be paid on time,” she said.
“The easiest way to apply for the PSB is by visiting compare.energy.vic.gov.au, making sure you have a copy of your electricity bill handy.
“If you don’t have internet access the Energy Compare team can assist you with your application on 1800 000 832.
“After completing an application, you can compare energy company offers and find out if you’re getting the best deal possible.”
Ms Cleeland said if anyone experienced barriers to complete their application, her office at 25 Bridge St, Benalla was happy to assist locals with applications and provide a helping hand to those with limited computer skills.
“My team’s door is open to help anyone who needs support with their application,” Ms Cleeland said.
“All you need to do is bring in a complete copy of your recent electricity bill and we will do the rest.
“We’ve been fortunate to meet so many people from across the electorate as we help them apply.
“I encourage everyone who needs some financial support in the current climate to apply and get an extra $250 in your pocket to help pay the bills.”
