VicGrid’s renewable energy zone study area map is open for feedback until 30 September 2024.
The recently released map shows parts of Victoria that VicGrid are investigating further as they identify future zones for renewable energy projects, with much of the north east included.
The Nationals’ Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, is recommending that locals investigate locations chosen on the map and provide feedback via the provided online form.
“This map has included several areas of crucial agricultural land in our region, and I highly recommend anyone that might be impacted to have their say through VicGrid’s feedback form,” Ms Cleeland said.
“I’ve heard from several farmers and landowners in the region outline their frustrations over the land being chosen for renewable energy projects, and this is a perfect way to ensure your voice is being heard and our agricultural land is protected.
“Too often we are seeing a lack of community consultation result in our prime land being covered with renewable projects when there are several more suitable options available. By participating in this feedback, we can ensure this is avoided.”
You are able to have your say by:
- Completing a renewable energy zone study area feedback form on Engage Victoria: http://engage.vic.gov.au/victransmissionplan ,
- Emailing your thoughts to vicgrid@deeca.vic.gov.au, or

Feedback about the study area is open until 11:59 pm on 30 September 2024.
