LTE -Don’t miss the car registration rebate

Victorians who paid their vehicle registration for the 2025–26 financial yearmay be eligible to claim back 20 per cent of their registration costs.

Applicationsfor the Victorian Government’s car registration rebate close on 31 August, so Iam reminding local residents who have not yet applied to check theireligibility and make a claim before the deadline.

Therebate is available to eligible Victorians who paid their registration for the2025–26 financial year, and the 20 per cent rebate can provide a small cashboost at a time when household costs continue to put pressure on familybudgets.

Withthe deadline fast approaching, I encourage residents to take a few minutes tocheck whether they are eligible and submit their application before 31 August.

Forthose who have already claimed, there is nothing further to do. For everyoneelse, now is the time to check.
