Claiming your $250 Power Saving Bonus (PSB) will be made easy this week, with Nationals Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland and the ‘BeConnected’ team at Community Learning Euroa helping locals fill out their applications on Thursday.
Residents of Euroa and nearby areas are invited to visit the William Pearson Band Hall on Kirkland Avenue, Euroa between 2-4pm on Thursday, June 15 to receive help with their application.
The Benalla office of Ms Cleeland has already submitted nearly 300 applications for local residents and hopes of assisting many more across the electorate.
“We’ve seen so many residents of the wider Benalla community need some help while applying for this $250 bonus,” Ms Cleeland said.
“I wanted to make sure that other parts of the electorate, like Euroa, Longwood, Violet Town and Strathbogie were able to have the support to access this really helpful service.
“With living costs rising, particularly with electricity and gas bills, this $250 goes a long way in providing some relief to people. I encourage everyone to apply that hasn’t already.”
Members of BeConnected, a local program helping promote digital literacy in the community, and Ms Cleeland’s office will help submit applications for those in attendance, with residents simply needing to bring a copy of their most recent electricity bill with them.
Applications should only take five minutes per person, so everyone that is yet to claim the PSB is encouraged to attend.
The most recent round of the PSB begun on March 24, providing all Victorians with an opportunity to claim $250 directly in their pocket as well as hear about cheaper electricity providers.
Those unable to attend can visit compare.energy.vic.gov.au or call 1800 000 832 to apply for the PSB.
