The Nationals’ Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, is encouraging RSLs across the region to apply for the latest round of grants that will assist them with restoring memorials or their facilities.
Grants of up to $30,000 are available to restore war memorials, while there is up to $50,000 on offer for capital works that can be used to improve spaces used to build or improve spaces that deliver services to veterans and their families.
“With many of our cenotaphs, memorials, and RSL facilities still feeling the impact of storm and weather damage, these grants are a useful option for some necessary repairs or restorations,” Ms Cleeland said.
“In recent months, I have been contacted by local groups looking to restore local cenotaphs, as well as upgrade their RSL facilities.
“Our veterans and military history are a crucial part of our region, and I highly encourage any organisation needing upgrades to look into these grants.
“Should you need a letter of support for your project, please reach out to me and I will be more than happy to help.”
Both grants will be open until February 3, 2025 and more information on the application process, eligibility, and the assessment criteria can be found at:
