Seymour Farming Expo a strong success for local community

The Nationals Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland MP, has hailed this year’s Seymour Farming Expo as a resounding success, highlighting strong community engagement and a vibrant atmosphere across the weekend.

Ms Cleeland said the scale of the event was clear, with more than 3,000 Annabelle Cleeland MP buckets handed out to visitors across the three days.

“With more than 3,000 buckets handed out, it really highlighted the strength of this major agricultural event and the number of people coming through the gates,” Ms Cleeland said.

“Across the three days, I had hundreds of conversations with locals, farmers and families. It gave a real pulse on the agricultural community, the challenges they’re facing, and the opportunities ahead.”

Ms Cleeland said some of the key issues raised included bushfire recovery, diesel prices and fuel security, condition of the roads, and the need for greater respect and recognition of primary producers.

“These conversations matter. They shape the work I take back to Parliament and ensure our region is properly represented,” she said.

“It was also just a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from the community about what matters most to them, whether that’s state-level concerns or local aspirations for their towns and families.”

Ms Cleeland was also joined by fellow Nationals MPs from across the region, reflecting a strong show of support and collaboration.

“I was pleased to have the backing of my Nationals colleagues, and it was a great opportunity to showcase our shared commitment to regional communities,” she said.

“The Expo is not just about agriculture, it’s about community, connection and supporting local businesses. Events like this play an important role in strengthening our region.”

Ms Cleeland thanked the organisers, volunteers and exhibitors for their efforts in delivering another successful event and said she looked forward to returning next year.
