This year’s Women’s Health Week (September 1–5) was a timely reminder of the importance of investing in the health of all Victorians, no matter where they live.
Across our region, women face unique health challenges, and improving outcomes requires both long-term investment in healthcare infrastructure and strong frontline services.
We need to ensure that every Victorian, whether in Melbourne or our region, can access the care they need, when they need it.
Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking about women’s health at the Violet Town Community House High Tea, alongside 40 incredible local women who are doing amazing work to improve outcomes in our communities.
Their dedication highlights the vital role that local initiatives play in supporting health and wellbeing.
As your local MP, I will continue to push for meaningful improvements in regional health.
That includes restoring maternity services at Benalla, securing fairer patient transport access, delivering overdue PET scanners for Wangaratta, and strengthening support for regional doctors.
These are practical steps that make a real difference in the lives of families across our region.
