Broadford Primary School has held the official badge presentation ceremony for their 2023 school leaders. The school appointed Captains, Deputy Captains, House Captains and Junior School Captains.
Local State MP Annabelle Cleeland presented the badges and was impressed by the calibre of the school’s leaders and student body.
“Broadford Primary is in incredibly good hands with this super leadership team,” Ms Cleeland said.
“Every leader is in this position because they set a strong example for their peers and contribute to the betterment of the school community.
“It’s clear these young stars will be leaders in the Broadford community for a long time and have big futures ahead of them.”
The Broadford Primary school values of Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Readiness were on full display during the presentations.
“School captains, Clancy and Lyla, did a fantastic job outlining the four R’s which together create the school values,” Ms Cleeland said.
“These guiding values help create a welcoming and supportive environment with staff and students making Broadford Primary a great place to be.
“I’ll be taking a copy of these great values down to Parliament for some of my colleagues to adhere closely to.”
Ms Cleeland said all students regardless of their position had the opportunity to be leaders in the school community.
“While the number of school leadership positions is limited, I know all the students in the room will set a very high standard, uphold the school values and be leaders in their own right.
“Congratulations everyone and good luck for the rest of the 2023 school year.”
